DONKEYS
RUBY AND JADE
Whoever said donkeys are stubborn and stupid never had one. These girls are way smarter than any horse and any stubbornness comes from the fact that they think about what you are asking them to do and sometimes come to the conclusion that the answer is no.
OPAL
Opal is a weanling - about 6 months old. We hope she keeps her long hair as she grows up. She is acting as
stablemate to Babe.
DUDE
Dude is a young jack whom we hope will breed Ruby and Jade to produce white or spotted offspring. Whatever happens, we'll love them all the same. Dude is very friendly and soon to start on halter training.
PEARL
What a surprise I had on the morning of June 9, 2011. I knew that Ruby was expecting but not for another 4 weeks or so. But there at the end of the pasture was Pearl - just getting her sea legs. She is a beauty - pure white (so far) and sweet as can be. She was a huge hit at the Halifax County Fair.
