BARBADOS SHEEP
We started our farm with 3 Barbados sheep rescues from the Santa Cruz SPCA. Well, they are part Barbados anyway - actually they are mutts - not sure what other type of sheep breed is in there, but they are not pure. The first three - Sarah and her two children Simon and Jacob. Unfortunately Sarah died shortly after we moved to Virginia as a result of a pregnancy gone wrong. We also lost her triplet lambs. As with the Cheviots, I use the Barbados to cross with our Babydolls to produce a small, adorable sheep to use as natural lawn mowers. They are very friendly as well.

We recently added 2 new Barbados (mutts) to the mix. Leah and her daughter Dinah came to us from Bayfield Farm in Oxford, NC.
Well, Leah surprised us with a lamb - father unknown but probably same dad as Dinah because the lamb is snow white. Her name is Rachel.
